A couple of things could be happening if the wax isn’t removing your hair but it depends on what product you are using:

HOT WAX

Most likely, you’re not removing the strip fast enough. The quicker the strip is removed, the better the results. Make sure to remove the strip parallel to the skin and not directly upward, all while holding the skin taut.
You’re not applying the wax in the direction as hair growth: This is the best way to adhere the wax to the hair for removal. Remember to remove the strip in the opposite direction of hair growth.

SUGAR WAX

Your hair is extremely, extremely coarse: Our Sugar Waxes work for all hair types except for extremely coarse hair. If your hair is very thick, check out our Warm Wax and Hot/Hard wax. Those will really do the trick!
You’re not applying a paper-thin layer: This is the most effective way to remove the hair. Only roll the wax on once and remove with the epilation strip.
Your hair isn’t long enough: Previously shaved hair can be stubbly and resistant. Wait for at least two weeks hair growth (½ cm or ¼”) before waxing.
You’re not applying the wax in the same direction as hair growth: This is the best way to adhere the wax to the hair for removal. Remember to remove the strip in the opposite direction of hair growth.

WAX STRIPS

You’re not applying the wax strip in the same direction as hair growth: This is the best way to adhere the wax to the hair for removal. Remember to remove the strip in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Your hair isn’t long enough: Previously shaved hair can be stubbly and resistant. Wait for at least two weeks hair growth (½ cm or ¼”) before waxing.

WARM WAX OR WAXING PEN

You’re not applying a paper-thin layer: This is the most effective way to remove the hair. If it’s difficult to spread the wax in a very thin layer, try warming the pen again in warm water.
You’re not applying the wax strip in the same direction as hair growth: This is the best way to adhere the wax to the hair for removal. Remember to remove the strip in the opposite direction of hair growth.
