We are seeking a Production Manager in Manufacturingto join our team at Parissa Laboratories Inc., where we produce world-class natural beauty products. This key role involves overseeing production processes, maintaining stringent quality control standards, and ensuring efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chemical Engineering, hands-on experience with packaging machinery, and expertise in manufacturing environments in industries such as Food, Chocolate, Beverage, Cosmetic, or Pharmaceutical.
Responsibilities:

Production Supervision: Lead and motivate the production team to ensure optimal performance. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Production Planning: Develop and maintain a weekly production plan with clear targets. Optimize resource allocation to meet production goals efficiently.

Efficiency Improvements: Identify and implement efficiency improvements in production processes. Restructure job duties and reorganize workflows for maximum efficiency.

Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels for components and finished goods. Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.

Quality Control: Research, identify, and implement measurable QC parameters for products and processes. Supervise and enforce rigorous QC standards, ensuring product quality.

Equipment Maintenance: Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain packaging machinery. Arrange for repair and maintenance of production equipment as needed.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Create and maintain SOPs for manufacturing processes. Train staff on SOPs to ensure consistency and quality.

Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues in production and QC processes. Implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.

Work Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and sanitary manufacturing environment. Ensure compliance with ISO, National Organic Program, or Health Canada certifications.
Dream Applicant Requirements:
- Strong background in Chemical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with packaging machinery and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and formula testing for new products.
- Experience managing or operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in the Food, Chocolate, Beverage, Cosmetic, or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Expertise in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in using software for managing production, operations, and quality control.
- Superior communication, organizational, leadership, and analytical skills.
