Health is wealth! At Parissa, we believe that self-care goes beyond just waxing. It also means a balanced approach to beauty and wellness. We love gorgeously smooth skin and embrace our at-home spa moments whenever we get a chance! We also aim to inspire others to create intentional habits that leave us feeling us feeling empowered about our mind, body, & soul.

What is Mindfulness? 

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully in the moment. If you’re new to the idea, mindfulness is an intentional practice that allows you to find balance, enhance your sleep, lower stress levels, and increase a sense of wellbeing and connection. 

It is about consciously engaging with the present and developing a deeper awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and environment. Regular practice and incorporating mindfulness into daily life can improve and lead to transformative changes in your overall well-being.

Patience: Embrace the art of waiting and allow things to unfold naturally. 

Trust: Have faith in yourself, others, and the journey ahead.

More Mindful Activities  

  • Meditate: Dedicate a few minutes to sit in stillness, focusing on your breath and observing your thoughts. Meditation helps quiet the mind and increase self-awareness.

  • Spend Time in Nature: Nature has a serious healing effect on the mind & body. Take leisurely walks, soak in sunlight, listen to the soothing sounds of nature, and appreciate the beauty around you – a perfect space for reflection & rejuvenation. 
  • Do Yoga: Engaging in gentle, flowing movements through yoga can enhance your mind-body connection. The mindful practice of yoga helps release tension, improve flexibility, and cultivate a sense of inner peace and balance.

One way we do this is by participating and sponsoring wellness events such as the "Health is Wealth" collaboration organized by Run the World Summit and lululemon. This event brings together individuals passionate about health and wellness, fostering a supportive community.   

Remember, mindfulness doesn't have to be entirely serious or 100% all-or-nothing! By embracing a few healthy habits, you may find better sleep, lowered stress levels, and a more balanced lifestyle.
