We’re really sorry to hear about your experience—it sounds frustrating, and that’s not the result we want for anyone using Parissa. It sounds like the wax may not have adhered properly, which can sometimes happen if the strips aren’t warmed enough or if there’s any lotion, oil, or moisture on the skin (for example, if you bathed before using the product). For best results, rubbing the strips between your hands for at least 5 seconds and ensuring the skin is completely dry will improve the experience.
That said, removing leftover wax shouldn’t be a struggle. Any oil (like the included aftercare oil or any oil like coconut, vegetable or olive oil) are the best way to dissolve wax residue—water will not work since the wax is oil-based. We’re taking your feedback about the aftercare oil’s nozzle to our team—definitely not the experience we intended! Regarding your comment about the Lush Wax - this product is identical to the Parissa Hot Wax and the usage and results are quite different than the Wax Strips.
We truly appreciate your honesty and would love the chance to make this right. Please reach out to our team at hello@parissa.com so we can help.
