HOW TO USE

  • Heating

    1. Heat wax on an electric stove, hot plate, or cup warmer on the lowest setting. NEVER leave the waxing unattended and NEVER heat on a gas stove or on an open flame. Product is FLAMMABLE, DO NOT overheat.
    2. The wax consistency should be like thick honey. Only half-melt the wax and mix until smooth.
    3. Test the temperature before use as the wax may be HOT. If the wax is runny, it is too hot- give it a few minutes to cool down.

    Apply

    1. Check direction of hair growth and work in small sections.
    2. Apply the wax in a thick layer in the direction of hair growth, making sure to work in small sections. On the upper lip, start on the corner of your mouth and spread toward the middle of your upper lip. Only wax one side of the upper lip at a time.
    3. Use the flat side of the spatula to apply wax. Wipe the spatula on edge of pot to prevent drips. Make the edges of the wax thicker for easier removal.

    Zip Off

    1. Even out the wax with your fingers when wax is pliable but not sticky. Do not let the wax harden or it may break or be difficult to remove.
    2. Keep your skin taut with one hand.
    3. Peel off the wax by lifting the outer edge near the corner of your mouth and pull quickly in the OPPOSITE direction of hair growth.

    Clean Up & Aftercare

    1. After you're finished waxing, apply Parissa Ultra Soothe Oil to soothe skin and prevent ingrown hair.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY

How do I heat the wax?
You can heat the wax on your stove on low or using our Parissa Wax Warmer. You can find specific heating instructions on the instruction sheet that comes with the wax.
Can I reuse the wax?
We don’t recommend reusing and reheating the Hot Wax once it has removed hair.
Why didn’t my package come with any strips?
Our Hot/Hard Wax is strip-free, meaning you don’t need strips to use the wax. You apply the wax hot and wait for the wax to cool. The wax then ‘becomes’ the strip and grabs the hair to be removed.
How do I know the wax is the right temperature?
When the wax feels like a thick honey, it’s at the right temperature. If it falls off the spatula very easily or is too hot when you do a patch test, let it cool for a minute or two.

Great Wax

I've been using this product for more than six months, and I must say that every time I use it, I'm amazed by the results. It even removes very tiny hairs on my face. I'm thrilled to have found this product in the store, and I'm also proud to know that there is an Iranian woman behind this wonderful product.

Hi Sara,

Upper Lip Wax

Thank you for having this product available. My stores have discontinued this product and only have the honey wax method and strips. I have used this product for many years with great success and am so pleased I can still purchase it.

Sticks like a glue and won't come off unless with a piece of your stkin.

Unfortunately, one of my worst waxing experiences. This is not the same formula as they had before! This wax sticks like a glue and wont come off unless taking a piece of your skin with it! Made my bikini area bleeding every time I used it. Before placing my order I consulted with them about the product as I could not find the one I've used 2 years. They told me that this is the same formula with a different packaging and I ordered 6 of them . I regret it. Stressful experience . This is for sure a different formula. Said someone who used Parissa wax for 2 years.

Hi there! Thanks for supporting Parissa and writing us a review. We have not changed our formulas in many years, we have only had a small update to the shape and colour of our packaging. We are more than happy to help you troubleshoot the issues you are running into. There are many factors that can impact the process as well as the results. Please feel free to contact us directly for assistance in using your hot waxes.

Wax

This is the worst product ever do not buy this. It's almost impossible to heat the wax up and it's a huge mess. The wax is really hard to clean up if you spill it.

Hi Pam!
We're sorry to hear you had a difficult experience using our Face & Lip Hot Wax. We recommend heating the wax on an electric stove or wax warmer for easiest heating. If the wax spills, we recommend letting the wax harden first before removing the wax. Residue left behind can be cleaned with oil as soap and water will not work on this wax! Please feel free to reach out to us directly for assistance.

Definite learning curve and patience required

This product is definitely less messy than other similar options (like those with the strips), but it nonetheless requires patience that I don't necessarily have. The wax tends to cool down pretty quickly, which means you have to work quickly (but also carefully, as this is for facial use - and I have sensitive skin, so I'm not wanting any burns). It got a lot of hair, but not all of it. I feel like I will keep the rest of this product for my underarms as I feel it may be more effective (and that area's also a bit more forgiving).
