I use Persian wax on my upper lip hair. I have to wait until the hair grows back until I can wax again. Is there anything I can do about the hair as I am waiting?

Wax Resedue

I waxed my upperlip fo rthe first time and when i was done, i was left with wax residue that won't come off and pulls at my skin. I've tried taking iot off with oil, exfoliating and hatw ater but nothing is working. Are there any other ways that I should try to get the wax off of my skin?

REPLIES to your lip hair questions...

After waxing your upper lip the hair will grow back more slowly and more sparse, as it doesn't all grow back at the same time. I generally wax my lip about once/month. You can wax more often than that, just make sure that the hair has grown long enough to be lifted out from the root.

The "inbetween" time isn't that bad because it also grows in much softer than if, say, you had shaved it.  Although you can always tweeze the odd stray hair that may seem to pop out .

The skin under your lip hair should be the same colour as the rest of your skin - occassionally you may see a man with lighter tone there - if he had previously had a moustache, because his hair will have been dense enough to prevent that skin from tanning.  However, if your upper lip hair is dark, you may notice it looking brighter after waxing, in absence of the darker shadow from hair.

Waxing Lip Hair

If you wax your lip hair will the skin underneath be lighter than your natural skin tone?

Lip hair

You only need the hair to be about 1/4" long before you wax. How many weeks do you generally go between waxes?
