Azar Moayeri - Our Fearless Founder

It's only fitting that our first inspiring women blog entry focus on our founder, Azar Besharat Moayeri.  Her accomplishments are many...starting with an  honours degree in Chemical Engineering, and the first female graduate in the University of Edinburgh's Engineering Department.

In her native Iran, she became the first female engineer hired at the National Petro-Chemical Company (NPC). After the Iranian revolution, the family decided to leave Iran and settle in Canada. Unable to find employment as an engineer, and frustrated by her search for natural hair removal products, Azar decides to launch her own business and create Canada's first line of All Natural Hair Removal Systems. Her young children packaged the products while watching after-school cartoons, which were then delivered personally to stores throughout Vancouver BC.

Fast-forward 30 years to the Parissa of today and you see a fast growing natural hair removal brand, globally recognized as “the at-home hair removal experts.” Here she is taking a break at work with her son and grandsons.

Azar’s philosophy is and as it always has been: to offer clean, simple-to-use home waxes that are as effective as salon products.

She believes in having a relationship with every customer, which is why you'll speak to a person, not an automated phone system, when you call the Customer Care line - and why we are available to you 24 hours a day. 

She stands for and leads by her example of excellent customer service, integrity, grace and full brand honesty while holding true to her business model of treating people, and our environment, with respect.
